My name is Sarah van Rijsewijk (van rise wick).
I am the owner of Natural Peace Living… this is my baby. I started my practice in 2014 after obtaining my Coaching Certification from Julia Stewart and The School of Coaching Mastery.
I coach because I needed one… and this is my way of giving back.
I dealt with a lot of depression and anxiety for many years. I spent a lot of time on a leather couch with my counselor and after spinning my wheels and never really feeling better, I finally woke up one day and realized that the common thread in all of my “problems” was me.
Turns out that after several years of difficult experiences, I built up quite the negative outlook. I was angry, resentful, overwhelmed, struggling…
This insight came to me after watching the movie, The Secret, which is a powerful documentary that goes to great lengths to talk about the power of our thinking, and the Law of Attraction (the idea that like attracts like, what you put out is what you get back).
I decided it was time to change things. I’m a very determined person and when I put my mind to work, look out! I began meditating to quiet down some of the nonsense upstairs. I began to feel more peace. I began keeping a gratitude journal, I became the “happy person” at my corporate job and things just sky-rocketed from there. I began a TON of self-study, read books, meditated, called into radio shows, began writing articles and blogs, became Certified as a Coach, learned to read Tarot and was attuned to Reiki energy… and now it’s 5 years later!
I am an upstate NY girl. My family and I live in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. I thrive in nature… hence the name, Natural Peace.
I married my best friend, my husband Jeramie, who is living proof that when you detach from trying so damn hard, wonderful things manifest in your life. My daughter Adelynn is almost 7 and our youngest, Felicity is 3. We have 2 Alaskan Malamutes, Ludo (9) and Luna (8) that keep our house full of fur!
I have trained with and learned from some incredible people, including but not limited to – Abraham and Esther Hicks, Dr. Wayne Dyer, davidji, Deepak Chopra, Louise Hay, Dr. David Kessler, Cheryl Richardson, and so many others. I continue to meditate every single day to keep my fiery mind as calm as possible.
